Website

Although APOZETAOMEGA.ORG was launched November 2006, Zeta Omega has already been online since 2003. Zeta Omega Chapter was introduced to the world wide web, through the efforts of Bro. Jeff Manulid (‘82), who created the Zeta Omega chapter NEtwork or APO-ZONE, which was launched on March 10, 2003. A Yahoo! Group account was also created to open up email communications among Zeta Omegans.

Around 2005, Zeta Omega Alumni decided to sponsor a new website where everyone can be updated regarding the chapter, as well as contribute news, information, photos and etc. A year’s worth of planning came to fruition on November 2006 when the new and official Zeta Omega website was launched bearing the URL: www.apozetaomega.org.

The site is structured as a Content Management System based on the WordPress blogging platform. It is hosted on a Linux server and powered by Apache ver. 1.3.37 (Unix), PHP 5.1.4 and MySQL 4.1.21.

Apozetaomega.org complies to web standards and its HTML markup is validated (XHTML 1.0 Strict) by the World Wide Web Consortium. Design elements reflect Alpha Phi Omega and UP traditions through the colors, the APO Blue and Gold (golden yellow) and the UP Maroon, the APO Coat-of-Arms, the UP Oblation Statue and the fleur-de-lis, a symbol of the Scouting Movement.
