Brother Maggie Katz has attended a number of APO-RP/APO-ACNA events, among them: The joint APO-AA-Montreal and APO-AA-Toronto Canada Day camping at Mallorytown KOA, the 2002 APO-ACNA convention in San Diego, California, and the 2004 APO-ACNA convention in Vancouver, British Columbia. We may be looking forward to the first visit of the Philippines by Maggie as well as Brother Dr. Fred this year, as both have signified their intention to attend the APO-Philippines convention in Tagaytay City, May 3-6, 2007.
Bro Jun C. Tapay ran against incumbent Brothers Kari N. Logan and Cole Robertson for the position of Region VII director. Cole won on the first ballot; that is, there was no runoff. Congratulations to Jun for “making a mark” on his first try.
Incoming officers: Brothers Franklin Brodsky (once) and Brother Tony Ploughe (thrice) have been to the Philippines and plan to attend the APO-Philippines convention this May 2007.

Brothers and Sisters may remember Franklin at the May 2005 Surigao City convention as (Jim) Henson who does a Kermit the Frog act, singing the song “Rainbow Connection.” Brods and sis may remember Tony as the long-haired Bon Jovi look-alike. Tony attended the 1993 Zamboanga City convention, the 1995 Baguio City convention, and the 1999 Davao City convention. Just like other APO-USA brothers who have been to APO-RP conventions, both Franklin (Eta 2005) and Tony (Zeta Rho 1993) are honorary members of APO-Philippines collegiate chapters.

Outgoing officers who have been Philippine foreign guests: Brothers Lisa Covi (2005, Eta honorary member), Terry Sheets (2001 Olongapo City convention), and Beth Tom (1999 Davao City convention and Gamma Theta honorary, 2001, and 2005 and Eta honorary). Both Lisa and Beth have expressed interest in visiting the Philippines this May.
